The experience you will have here as a black woman will be very different from our white counterparts. I’ve never taken the time to write out a review on a place but the disservice done to me was far to great not to. The owner is very rude and biased. She talks to you as if you’re not a paying customer. They rush your nails and do a poor job and when you ask them to fix it they become more rude. From previous reviews I can see I’m not the only woman of color to experience this No respect for POC, probably the best service you’ll receive if you’re white :).

UPDATE- I had sworn off this nail salon last year after the damaging way they removed my gel manicure. Its 1/30/21 and I was itching to get out the house for a manicure so (smh) I went to Nikki's because its cold and snowy. I should have just went elsewhere. I came to them on 1/26 and the place was pretty dead. One of the male techs did my nails after checking with a lady there to see if she could do my design request. Well let me say this, he was working like a demon was chasing him. I don't know why he was rushing but his work was sloppy. Angles in the geometric design are not proper. He clipped my cuticles like he was upset with them and his shaping of the nails is not that great either. The other lady came and did my design on both nails and that design work was decent. I asked her to fix some of the other techs work(sloppily done). Worst thing, my nail chipped that night! I went home to cook and sometime during the evening I got a chip. I have gone to Happy Nails and my gels have never chipped within the first week. I am not new to gels so I know they should not be chipping but see my previous review below because this happened before. Anyway, my cuticles look raggedy this morning and I have a little crack in one of my other nails. Changing my review to 2 stars. Don't bother with this place. Initial Review-Been to this shop twice. The first time I got almond acrylics with stones and a pedicure. This was a decent mani, that lasted a little over 2 weeks. Pretty sure this place uses illegal MMA nails. It’s my understanding that when you remove the legal EMA nails, they do not damage the nail bed. My nail beds are trash right now due to the removal and subsequent buffing or my nails to smooth them for the gel mani I got at Nikki’s a couple weeks later. I got a no chip mani with some stones and designs on 1/16/20. Designs weren’t perfect but it was cute. On 1/17/20 on of the stones popped off. I was able to make it back for a fix on 1/20/20. The fixed it no problem, however the Stone came off again. I think this is because the tech who fixed it didn’t have me put my nail under uv to dry the polish used to adhere the stone. It’s now 1/24/20 and I have another chip in a different nail. I also have some lifting on my other hand with the glitter nail! This is shocking as glitter polish is crazy hard to take off. 3 stars for overall manicure results but I would suggest trying a different salon for no chip gel nails. I think they are using subpar gel polish but charging regular prices.I am also concerned about the possible use of MMA nails, these type of acrylics damage your nails badly. I do not think I will be going back unless I want a mani or pedi and I am too lazy to go elsewhere.

Please take my advice and never go here! I took my mom to this shop yesterday to get her nails done for her birthday. Things were going well until someone burned her foot with scorching hot water! The person doing her feet did not check the water before letting her foot touch it. She yelled out in pain and the manager did not check on her. I had to ask someone who the manager was, and then approach the manager to notify what happened. Even then there was no concern expressed. She even tried to down play it. I tried to keep my cool and just told them to refund $10, which they did. My mother is still feeling a burning sensation on her foot and has to figure out how she can celebrate her birthday comfortably. It was extremely unprofessional for the manager to not try to immediately check and solve this issue when my mother yelled out in pain. I am fed up with mistreatment from businesses that want YOUR hard earned money. I am done!
