I love it. My mom takes me there all the time and tanish will hook you up and get your hair silky bone straight without any heat damage. She also knows what to do with your hair and gives you tips on how to keep it maintained. It is a comfortable environment and clean. So book tanisha she will get your hair in check.😁

If I could put 0 stars I would! Very unprofessional, you are greeted with dirty looks when you walk in-- no hello, no how are you today.. NOTHING was said.. I went in with my hair washed just needing a style, I had just did the big chop a week prior to my visit because I am going through my Healthy Hair Journey, I have been natural for 8+ years but I decided to start over. So I walk in immediately I receive a dirty look from both Mitchell and his assistant.. I was uncomfortable from the jump and did not feel welcomed at all. Not to mention I stood in one spot for 5 minutes before someone finally spoke to me and it was "What do you need?" My hair is naturally curly but when there's no product on it, I showed Mitchell a picture of how I wanted my hair curled and his response was that "girl has a relaxer,do you want a relaxer." I said no I just cut my hair why would I want to put harsh chemicals back into my hair.. I sat down in his chair and he began to pick through my hair with his fingers like my hair was nasty, granted my hair was dry because I had washed and conditioned it before I went there but I had not put any product in. So he was picking throug my hair and then he proceeded to put mousse on my hair to see if it would lay down.. he told me the because of the texture of my hair he would not be able to give me the style I wanted, then asked me if I wanted a twist out.. I was pissed because I had never had someone tell me that the texture of my hair was a problem I was even open to putting a little bit of heat on my hair.. but no... So, he calls his little rude assistant over, who doesn't speak a word to me, to shampoo me... AFTER I SAID I WASHED AND CONDITIONED MY HAIR BEFORE I CAME... he just waves me over and that was the last straw for me... I told them I was fine and I walked out... Moral of this little incident is I won't be reccomending this shop to anyone nor will I ever return because first impressions are EVERYTHING! Another thing is learn how to do different styles on different hair textures, don't degrade people or make them feel bad because their hair isn't bone straight... it's not impossible! you just don't know how to do it, be honest... As an artist who specializes in natural hair, you should be open to working with different textures.... Black is beautiful, fix your attitude...

I started patronizing this shop about 6 months ago. Mitchell used top line products on my hair and it began to grow like never before. He suggested that I wear it layered and blow dried. The rest is history. I met and married my husband who loves my hair!

I asked my auntie to book a hair appointment for me as a Christmas gift since I hate the detangling process of my natural hair. She booked me an appointment with Mitchell and all else went downhill. The shop number is a cell phone. I accidentally put the wrong address into Google maps and tried calling for directions. The first time it went straight to voicemail. The second time it just rang. After a few minutes I got a callback with the information. I walked into the shop and I waited in the front to be greeted. Mitchell, the owner, was on the phone and proceeded with his conversation without saying a word. After a few minutes he yells out to a gentleman in the back to come shampoo me. I get two shampoos and get placed under the dryer for a deep conditioner. Mind you, I only told the shampoo gentleman I was getting a blowout. After the timer goes off we play chair shuffle as Mitchell has told him to place me in a chair to blow dry me. I felt bad for the older man as he attempted to comb through my hair for the first time with a wide toothed comb. The detangling process was far from thorough before he took out the blow dryer. As expected, he was having some difficulty with my hair still being very tangled. The way the booths are set-up I could see him panicking and making other customers laugh with his frustration in the mirror. Finally, he gives up and tells Mitchell he can't blow dry my hair. I'm unsure as to how that dialogue went, but I was switching into to Mitchell's chair shortly thereafter. This was the first time he spoke to me since I entered the shop. He takes out a paddle brush and proceeds to properly detangle my hair and blow dry it. He hit my edges with a hot comb and proceeds to flat ironing. However, he put way too much product on my hair. I only realized this after he goes back to rinse out the woman whose hair he was coloring before he started working on me. She had already walked up during my blow drying to mention some irritation and at least another 10-15 minutes had passed since the shampoo gentleman was supposed to rinse her out. I thought he would be able to salvage the final style before I left, but it didn't happen. The slick stringy wrap I was left with was justified by me having "Nigerian textured hair." I'm not Nigerian. I've dated one for a few years in the past, so I know my hair is not that texture. In fact, every shop I've ever gone to has said my hair is very soft and it's hard to put a curl in it because it won't hold. There was some further dialogue about the type of products I should use, but by then I was over my experience at the shop. How can you recommend something for me if you've done a horrible job? I walked away with hair that didn't bounce or blow in the wind and had so much moisturizer in it, it looked like it needed to be washed. Needless to say, $55 was wasted and I'll be putting my wig back on to be presentable for the holidays. I will say this though, I watched some of the other beauticians produce some amazing results. I just so happened to have a bad experience with the owner.
