Top Nails is my favorite nail salon! They do a great job, are very diligent about cleanliness, and have a robust ventilation system so it never smells like chemicals. If you’re pregnant or just hate the smell, this is the place for you!

This salon has a really nice set of staff who are quite friendly. They have a decent selection of gel nail polish and a wide variety of regular polish. The salon its self is a little small but always clean. Prices are average and they do offer a small student discount which is nice. The salon is easy to find and in a convenient location near Scottsdale Road and Shea. They are closed on Sundays (which is completely fair), but sometimes there is quite a wait because they usually only have about three technicians on at a time. Sometimes the staff can be too chatty with their coworkers and completely stop working on your nails to talk which is a little irritating. If you are getting a basic manicure and pedicure be prepared to be there 2-2.5 hours. I have had a few times where my technicians seem to be rushing and my nails have been filed uneven or I could see imperfections in the color.

Small but delightful shop with 5 pedicure chairs and 6 manicure tables. Reservations recommended for this popular and well run shop.

I never leave bad reviews. This may be my first, or it may be my first in several years. However, I'm so disappointed with my gel manicure. The man who did it applied the gel polish like I was getting powder/acrylic nails. He used a frayed brush to clean up the edges where the gel polish bled over onto my skin, leaving me with a faint, snowy-white coating of gel, rather than clean skin. Then once everything was dry, he tried to file the sides of my nails where it meets the skin, like they do when you get powder or acrylic ...ow! That's my natural skin and nail, not a hard layer of powder or acrylic to shape. Regardless, I tried to pick off the overage on my way on my way to a dinner meeting. The application is sub-par and looks like a beginner did it. (I thought that since the gel manicure has been around for quite some time now, it's not a new technology to nails. So, I guess I wrongly assumed everyone is well-versed in application.) I didn't bank enough time to have them fix it, otherwise I would have. It just looks very sloppy. Two-stars because they were friendly, but I would have given one had they not been.
