I seriously feel like the board of health should be called on this place. I went in for the first time to Little Bird/Happy Nail today with intentions of getting powder gel. I already had powder gel on my nails from 3 weeks ago and they were chipped, some missing altogether because I went on vacation so I figured it’d be a quick and easy, painless process since I’ve been getting my nails done for a while. I should have known when the older man pulled out a METRO card (yes, you read that right!), it wasn’t going to be good. Instead of soaking the remaining powder gel remnants off of my natural nails, he proceeded to use the METRO card to slide between my natural nail and the remaining powder gel shell. I tried to make light of it and mentioned that no one had ever done that to me before but I guess different people use different methods. He got to my pinky nail on my right hand which still had the powder gel perfectly in tact and proceeded his method of prying the shell off with the card. My nails are extremely thin and brittle as it is which is why I get the powder gel in the first place but he worked on getting that remnant/shell of powder gel off until it was barely hanging on and in the process ripped part of my natural nail off down to the meat of my finger. Once that happened, I took the rest of the nail off myself and told him that I wouldn’t be getting the gel powder reapplied. He must not have understood me because once he filed my nails and cleaned them up, he proceeded to push back my cuticles and used a tool that I had never seen before, essentially digging into my fingers (and no exaggeration, my fingers are still sore hours later...it feels like I have pulled hangnails off of almost every one of them). I chalked it up to maybe he is just a little more aggressive with his manicure approach and I watched him carefully. However, he then tried to put an artificial tip on my pinky nail and do the powder gel which I protested. I just wanted to pay my dues and get out of there! I don’t like to rock waves, especially when I can’t completely understand a person when they speak anyway so I tried to be as polite as possible while still being firm on what I did not want. This is the first review I’ve ever left for an establishment and unfortunately it’s a big fat negative one. Today was my first, last and ONLY time I’ll ever step foot in this nail salon.

Terrific! I've been going for about a year now and get the same mani/pedi every time. Very nice staff. Always good. Seem to have many regulars. Go early, they get busy.

Annie has become my favorite. She is simply very meticulous, gentle when it comes to Facials and Massages.
