I recently moved to Arlington and was looking for a place to get my hair done. I should have read the reviews. I went in asking for a partial highlight and a trim, instead the woman who did my hair painted bleach all over it, not using any foil. When I told her the bleach was stinging my scalp she said yes it does that. She was consulting with another stylist throughout the coloring process. I later learned from a licensed stylist that the product should never touch your scalp. When my hair turned out gold I asked her to use toner. She did, but it didn't tone it down much. Now I am gold on top and highlighted on the bottom….could have made that mistake on my own from a $15 box. Instead of a trim she took full handfuls of hair and cut it so now the ends are all uneven. $80 down the drain. I did call to see if I could come back in to tone it down more, but our availability was not the same and despite being close to tears on the phone, there wasn't much sympathy. I hate to pay someone else because it will cost just as much or more, but I am also hesitant to give it a second try there. Don't let them touch your hair or at least ask to see their styling licenses first because I am skeptical.
