The staff are very nice here. Dr. Nguyen is so amazingly warm and friendly too! He takes the time to show you images of your optic nerve which I had never had an optometrist do before. He also gave me his honest opinion of not needing a new pair of lenses right now which I REALLY appreciate. It is great when a place does not try to sell you on items that you don't truly need. Dr. Nguyen is the best optometrist I've ever had!!

Business moved! New address is on here, 3807 Fairmont Ave suite 200. But please note that it is now in a new location, and the main picture on here is the old location. This place has been great. Though I just made an apt and the doctor that had been there for years has moved away. They said that there are two new optometrists there now, we'll see!

Although I do not reside in Southern California, I am compelled to provide a thorough review for San Diego Vision Care Optometry. I come down to San Diego often for business. A couple of years ago, I had a serious pain in my eye. I mentioned it to my colleague, who suggested that I come to SD Vision Care, since I was nearby. My first impression when coming in is that the business is immaculately clean and organized. There was not one pair of glasses which were strewn about. Everyone was smiles and full of energy. They immediately accommodated me, and Drs. Nguyen and Le welcomed me as if I was an old family friend. I was impressed with how open and concerned they were. They took me in and were able to help me with the pain. They went beyond the call of duty to help diagnose my issue and resolve it thoroughly. I figured that since it was around the time I needed an eye exam and new glasses, I had them do a full workup. They have all the latest and greatest equipment, as well as a dizzying assortment of various prescription eyewear and designer sunglasses that I would typically find at the trendiest metropolitans. They have very fair pricing, and considering the exceptional service, I would say they are an incredible "bang-for-the-buck" value. Think about it...if your insurance is going to cover most of the exams and the cost of glasses, don't you want to get the best service that accompanies it? It will pretty much cost you the same as if you went to a "work mill" that just focuses on getting as many people in and out the door (mall place comes to mind) than if you went to SD Vision Care and get the personalized service that you deserve. The staff helped me to pick a frame that complimented the shape of my face, and I decided on a pair of sunglasses as well. They made sure to help me out regarding insurance, as I am clueless about my benefits. They wanted to make sure that I could take advantage of the coverage before it expired at the end of the year so that I would minimize my out-of-pocket expenses. They also made sure to look at the details of my insurance so that I knew exactly what my benefits were so that I could make an informed decision on my purchase. How many businesses would take that extra effort for their client (especially one that they just met and was not a resident, thus the chances of repeat business is practically nil)? I can say that my insight of both optometrists is that they really care about their patients and that making money is very much secondary to their clients. It's not often that you find this in a business, but I will have to say that local residents are quite blessed to be able to have such an asset to the community. Since then, I make it a point to come to them when it is around the time I need my exams or adjustments. I've been there probably 6 times in the 2+ years since my first visit (to buy sunglasses and to stop by just to say hello since I'm in the neighborhood) That is more visits than I had with my previous local optometrist in 10 years prior. That tells you how much I like to enjoy the company of them. My friends laugh when I tell them that my optometrists are almost 500 miles away, but I know when I have a good thing going and I will continue to do so into my old age, or until the docs retire. We have a lot to talk about whenever I visit. Dr. Nguyen is a car enthusiast as well, so we pretty much spend the entire time talking shop while he does my exam. Dr. Le is just the sweetest lady you'll ever meet and I can't get enough of how much great advice she has for me about the other aspects of my life. Now, for you fellow yelpers, don't take advantage of this and have all of you bombard her with pleas for her advice, as her job is your optometrist and not your counselor. I'm just lucky that she seems to take an interest in how complicated my life is. In any case, this is the best review I have ever given for a business, and I thank you for taking the time to digest my gushing of SD Vision Care. Now go there and see life clearer.

I been going through to this clinic for 3 years and never had a problem until recently. I bought some frames and took them to get my prescription put in .And when I went back to get them they had gave them to someone else. & the person that has them doesn't want tot return them :( & I keep calling and they don't want to do nothing about it.
