I want to start off saying I loved the apartment. And initially living here I loved it as well. But as time went by I just found that I was being overcharged. Initially our water bill for our one bedroom was 25-30 dollars. Then it went to around 50-60. By the time we moved out the water bill for our apartment was 80-90. Nothing changed about our usage. Now moving out I find they practice the same scamming tactics. I cleaned my apartment, we made sure it was taken care of the whole time living there, and left it with normal wear and tear. I receive my final bill and the property management and apartment company is charging me for carpet (which if you live in on the upper floors replacing your carpet is 300 more than someone who lives downstairs in the same apartment), a cleaning fee, and painting. The biggest complaint I have about this is one my moving out sheet the final walk through was lied on. Another thing is the paint charge they tried to charge me was 240. When I disputed this with the property management company- Greystar. The represent, Jennifer M, is probably one of the worst customer service worker I have ever experienced. I explained to her how I requested paint and never was provided it, how I never painted my apartment so how could it be so high, she not only talked down to me but also raised her voice the entire time. After our phone call she emailed me the final walk through list which was falsified. And had paint typed in. I then responded with pictures and my concerns. A week later I get a response from her with the invoice for the paint at 125- that is a big difference from 240. Also on the invoice are other people’s apartment numbers with the same notes as mine. One didn’t even have a charge on it. When I told her what I saw- she then accused me of manipulating and removing her “block” she had on the document that wouldn’t show me the other apartments. All the proof she showed me - showed that this is a premeditated charge the apartment is going to try and get you for. so beware. Also when I complained about the response time of the apartment complex she told me I need to stop assuming they received email. When I asked her about the president of their company being Bob Faith she explained to me that emailing him is basically pointless because they will just forward my email to them. Also the 5 stars are more than likely from residents who just wanted to achieve the gift card reward the apartment complex offered. It is a nice apartment community but beware of the way you will be treated. I lived here for over 3 years and I am being treated like trash.

I toured this community and the staff was extremely helpful. I was shown 2 apartments. It felt like they really took the time to spend with me and answered all of my questions. The apartments are high end with granite counter tops and wood floors. I will definitely be renting here.

Glad I chose this community. The front office was great showing me several apartments that I was particular about. The leasing process was simple and well explained. On move in day, the apartment looked clean and inviting. Very happy with my decision so far.

I loved living here for the year I had my lease. The staff knew my name and unit number and helped whenever an issue arouse. My 2 biggest issues are below. 1) parking- if you ever want to have friends or guests over just don’t do it. Go to their location. It’s not worth the hassle of trying to find parking for them. There were times even as a resident I could t find parking for myself. They need to get more guest parking and allocate specific spots for renters. I think that would help a lot with the issues 2) additional charges after lease ends. Honestly I was expecting about $100-$150 back from my deposit. I left the apartment in great condition. There was some cleaning that had to be done to make it acceptable for the next tenant but i cleaned from top to bottom, steam cleaned the carpets, ext. They charged me: $20.00 for carpet cleaning- acceptable $95.00 for cleaning- acceptable $127.26 Final water bill- unacceptable I left my apartment a month and a half before my lease was finished and didn’t use any water $240.00 for painting- I’m sorry but I know they didn’t paint the entire apartment cause there was no need! And I’ve lived in many other apartments and this never has been an issue before. I have called Gretstar to tell them how absurd this is and am waiting to hear from them. I would make sure what to expect on move out. I have never had a deposit held back let alone having to pay additional money.

We feel at home here at Elan. Been here since spring 2015 and our first time as residents of a apartment complex. Because of our first time at a apartment we were skeptical, however property managers in office were awesome to work with and helped us discover all that this place has to offer to make it feel like home for us. We have had a few maintenance needs which were all remedied after we consulted management. They handled all issues well by emailing current status of situation being dealt with and followed up to confirm that issue was resolved. Elan is very clean and that is huge for us! Some residents might not prefer a fine for garbage left out but I VERY MUCH believe this is a great idea and feel it should be imposed! The pool area is conducive for relaxing and hanging out with friends. The grills are great and we use them often, and the fire pit is great for cool evenings. The gate has been working very well which often can be a problem at some gated communities. Elan feels very secure and is completely fenced and gated. We feel for a apartment complex we made the correct choice after looking thoroughly in the Lake Mary area. We like the style and quality that Elan offers and is competitively priced. The club house has alot to offer with modern computer lab, billiards room and coffee bar, however disappointed it's only available during business hours. I understand however because it would have to be staffed but often wish we could access during evening hours occasionally. The workout/exercise room has alot to offer also and that is open all hours which is great! Overall, I feel like for our first apartment home we are well pleased!
