I'm not sure why Public Service changed to Canvas but it has been a nightmare dealing with them! How do you only have two people working in your insurance department? I can never get a hold of someone when I call, leave a message and they're so slow answering emails! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! I get misinformed by these people all day long! This is stressful and it shouldn't be! They won't release my money even though I've been told on numerous occasions that it's no problem or it shouldn't be a problem! They won't even send written confirmation on what they tell you over the phone?! What's the big deal? Afraid you'll get caught up in your lies?! I need my account cancelled with them and they're putting me through hell to get this done. Why can't things ever go right on the first try? And why did they close down all the locations close to me? No I have no one to talk to face to face who can help me straighten this mess out! Terrible, terrible experience with them this past week!

Definitely prefer this credit union than the banks. Have always had great service at any location I have been to.

I’ve been with public service credit union for several years. For the most part I’ve had good relations with them but ever since the change to canvas it’s been horrible. I absolutely hate the new layout. They decided the best way to prevent people from standing in line is to eliminate the line. Unfortunately it creates an awkward herd of people standing directly inside the door as you enter. There’s always Atleast one person that tries to skirt the wait by walking directly to a teller. The bank has added a Greeter to the door now which I think would be better used as a teller behind the counter. The biggest annoyance with the change is my force placed insurance on my truck loan. I have never had a lapse in insurance so I was confused as to why I was suddenly being charged insurance. Well after some research I realize that when they changed their name they want the insurance documents changed on every customers insurance policy to reflect their new name. Well that’s great. Why didn’t they contact me and tell me that rather than just adding insurance onto my account. I know they have my phone number because they try selling me life insurance Atleast once a month. I’m heading to the bank in about an hour and if they don’t refund me all of the insurance money I will be pulling all of my accounts. I’ve already tried discussing this with a teller and I was talked to like an idiot. She looked at me with her snarky attitude and said your insurance must have expired. Not the customer service I would expect with so many other options out there.

Truly the worst company, from Public Service Credit Union to Canvas, this is a group of people who do not care about you as a person, your business as a customer or running their company with integrity. They were fine the entire time I had the loan but the problems began when I was paid off on my loan. They kept saying I was .25 cents short, no matter how many times I called and paid over the phone and was assured that my account was settled in full. This happened four months in a row, until I was in tears and talked to several managers who FINALLY closed my account in full, officially. Then, they never sent my title for my car with this closed account. Again, no matter how many people I talked to, no matter how many times I verified I was doing exactly as they said, no one could or would help me and eventually lost my car title despite following all instructions to the letter. I'm keeping this as short as possible to keep your attention dear internet reader, but if you have any option, for any other business, find literally any other one. There is not a single person here who cares about you, your needs or running a business efficiently or at all. Save yourself the time and tears and stress.

Don't use this bank unless you want to constantly be charged fees. They flagged my card for fraud on 1/2/19 and I didn't get a new card until 1/24/19 because I drove 4.5 hours to get one. Then they just closed my new card without my knowledge and are still pulling money out of my account. I think at this point I have no choice, but to switch banks. Never had this issue in 10 years with Public Service.
