The food was fine, however the service was unnecessarily bad. The people I was dining with worked in the restaurant industry for years and would never treat a customer the way we were treated. When asking to switch a vodka sauce to just a simple red sauce or white wine and olive oil on a dish I was immediately told, verbatim “ummm no.” So I picked a “back-up” dish instead and then the waiter came back and said it was fine for them to switch the sauce (of course — it is an easy switch unless the dish is pre-made). Anyway, our entrees come out quickly and we enjoyed them, but were asked multiple times if we were done, when we clearly still had food on our plates and were still eating. Not a big deal. We ordered desserts and the desserts took longer to come out than the entrees. Again, not a big deal we were enjoying ourselves and were not in a rush. However once we finished dessert and paid the bill, we were asked to leave because “the next table is coming in 30 seconds.” There were other empty tables but we were told “these customers ALWAYS sit in ‘that’ table” and therefore we had to get up. We were there for under two hours (about 1 hour 45 min) and did not overstay our welcome. We were finishing up our drinks and were about to leave on our own accord when told this. We will not be returning. There are plenty of other restaurants on LBI with friendly staff and great service. We are LBI homeowners and will be sharing our disappointment in La Spiaggia with friends and family as well.

I like their outdoor tent seating in the back and they let you bring your own wine which is really nice.

This is not a place to go. Poor service all around and poor food. Stay away!! There are much better options on LBI. Not a welcoming atmosphere and we will not be returning.
