Can't say enough good things about the nice owners and good people working at Red Hot Nails. I always leave feeling and looking so much better than when I arrived!

Great people and wonderful service

Excellent pedicure by Peter, who was polite and efficient. I had some specific requests, and all were delivered perfectly. The pedicure and massage (very well done) were neither hurried nor slow, just right. The salon is clean and well equipped.

Consider this a 2.5 star* I have been to Red Hot over a handful of times and had pretty ok service. It seems to depend on the day and timing. Sometimes i feel completely pamered and my nails are solidly sealed. Other times, however, they start chipping within a few days and I feel like the nail care and overall attention was hasty. Cleanliness seems alright. I noticed the man doing my manicure did not wash his hands between customers, nor did he have me wash mine after the buffing. Can't comment on pedis as I didn't have one! They DO NOT seem to honor appointments. I had one scheduled in the afternoon on a Sunday and still waited 25 minutes to even sit down. This has happened a couple times now. After finally being seated for a manicure, I sat with acetone on my nails for another 20 minutes! It really started to sting! I guess my advice is to probably not book, and to walk in or call to get an time estimate. Don't be in a hurry, but you definitely leave with an okay manicure at an okay price.

I was fully prepared to be completely satisfied with my mani-pedi at Red Hot Nails but unfortunately the experience fell short. Despite repeating twice when I made the appointment yesterday that I wanted both a manicure and pedicure, I had to remind them a third time of this fact after pedicure was completed. I thought the pedicure was quite good with a good foot massage and diligent exfoliating. The paraffin wax and hot stone treatments were also unexpected bonuses. However, I was not as thrilled with the manicure, performed by the same technician. I requested a regular manicure with a "french manicure finish." First of all it was obvious he did not want to do the manicure. To be fair, maybe he wasn't expecting to have to do it. However, given that this salon just received the Best of Bainbridge 2016 aware for "Best Nail Technician" I was somewhat surprised by his attitude. My hands did not receive the same level of care as far as cuticle attention and massage that were given my feet. It was a very rushed process, taking about five minutes. The most critical mistake, however, was that I was not given an opportunity to wash my hands before the polish was applied. He just sprayed them lightly with an alcohol solution. The polish will most likely not last very long. Then, when the manicure was finished he only applied one coat of sealer. I guess what bugged me the most was that I gave him a 30% tip and didn't even get a thank you. Finally, the salon looks like it could benefit from a good thorough cleaning. I wasn't too impressed with the way I saw them clean out a spa tub after a client was finished. Perhaps they could think about using those plastic, disposible liners a lot of the salons use now. It would certainly provide a more sanitary experience. It looks like the search for my "go-to" mani-pedi spot on Bainbridge Island continues . . .
