I went to this salon/spa a few weeks ago for the first time. I had a gift certificate for a classic manicure. I figured I'd also get an express pedicure while I was there. The girl that did my manicure and pedicure was pleasant and all and did a decent job, but I don't think I will be going back in the future... Initially when I called to make my appointment I told the receptionist that I had shellac polish on my nails from my last manicure and would need that removed as well. I asked if there was an extra charge involved with removing that and she said no, as long as I was getting a manicure after. She also asked if I could come in a bit earlier since that might take some time to get off, which I understood and had no problem with. I also asked about the express pedicure and what it included. She said it included a soak, buffing/callus removal of the feet and polish (no massage or moisturizer). The fact that it included the buffing/callus removable sold me on it. So when I arrived my manicurist started with the acetone soak to get my shellac off and as she was already wrapping my fingers up she mentioned that it would cost an extra $10. I told her the receptionist told me it was free with a manicure and she looked confused, and ended up saying that it would be free then, but usually it was $10 extra. This was uncomfortable as she seemed irritated (probably at the receptionist). Then while working on my pedicure and checking on my shellac removal my manicurist mentioned that if the shellac continued to be difficult, she may not have time to do the massage with my classic manicure, which was pretty frustrating seeing as how I had a certificate for the classic, and I didn't see how it was my fault things were running late, especially because the receptionist was mindful of the shellac removal when making my appointment. Luckily she did end up doing it, but again, the fact that this came up created a negative rather than relaxing vibe for me. Additionally, my pedicure did not end up including the buffering/callus removal, but I didn't even bring it up at that point because things already felt weird and negative. So overall my impression was not the relaxing experience I would expect at a salon/spa. With all the other salons I've been to that have created this relaxing environment, I don't see myself going back. Overall I think the main issue is with communication between the receptionist and the customers and knowing the details of what the salon offers so as to not create confusion or irritation when the customer arrives for their supposed-to-be relaxing spa services.

I love coming here to get massages, waxing, and my hair done. I even bring my 8 year old daughter along to get her hair done too. Their prices are very good for such a high end salon. It is always very clean and trendy inside, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. My stylist always does such a great job! I love how I get the VIP treatment every time I am there, as if I'm somebody special. Just going to this salon bightens up my week!
