For the longest time I’ve been contemplating on becoming a barber but couldn’t figure out where I should go to learn the craft. I seen on facebook that they were now enrolling for The Paul Mitchell school and they also provided financial aid so I gave them a call. A jovial, vibrant, excited person answered and low and behold she was apart of the admissions team. I voiced my concern that this seems like a school for women and make up artist, boy was i wrong. She explained to me in detail about how knowing the science of hair & skin will help me build a better skill set and take on the professional world of barbering in at an entirely better angle. Also how Paul Mitchell is a world renowned & trusted brand. The Admissions department was amazing. Helping me figure out how I could fit school into my current busy schedule & laying out a step by step guide in order to apply for financial aid. I am going to set up a tour ASAP, once I’m done my financial aid requirements. Most of the time i feel overwhelmed, rushed and as if the person on the other end of the phone just doesn’t care about my concerns when calling schools for information but this call was special! I would recommend anyone contemplating & not sure where to go for a barbering/cosmetology school to contact this location & speak to the admissions team. I guarantee all your anxiety about the decision to start school will vanish & you’ll most likely start doing the work right away as i am. She made everything seem so simple and that i had nothing to fear, also that Paul Mitchell was the place i belonged. -008

008 Recently I have became interested in healthy way of living, mind, body and soul. It also hit me that in order to feel your best you should look your best. I’ve always had an affinity for hair and cosmetology so I started to google how to become a hairdresser/cosmetologist. I ran across a few programs but Paul Mitchell just felt like it was calling me with the stylish font of the header and was in a great location! I wanted to be apart of the team but wasn’t sure how to go about it. I gave a call and was greeted by a young lady who once i explained to her my goals and ambitions we just CLICKED. What surprised me the most is that she didn’t just stop there. She began to ask me what other things I was interested in besides the business/learning opportunity. I started to explain to her how I recently got into health and thought I could provide people with health plans as well as cosmetic knowledge and services. She made me feel like a soul sister and explained to me that i had a great idea but most importantly i had to do the work and start somewhere which was Paul Mitchell. Paul Mitchell is probably the best school in the state. The culture just radiates from the building. I had concerns as to how i would pay for school but she explained to me about the financial aid options, steps to apply for aid in a super detailed manner. It seemed to simple as if this was all a message from the universe. Caress also explained the school schedules and helped me figure out if i could work it into my schedule. I will be coming in for a tour soon and i hope to actually meet her and get the ball rolling on paper with ink. Paul Mitchell sounds like the perfect environment to learn and build not only work skills but life skills.

008 Paul Mitchell’s admissions department is very helpful and informative in every aspect that the school provides. All the nerves and anxiety go out the window as they are there to help you until your needs are met. They go over things such as financial aid, materials, scheduling, scholarship programs etc. Not only that, they want to know what your future plans are after Paul Mitchell to help you step by step in landing a great job or to even start up your own business. Paul Mitchell really is the gold standard when it come to starting a career in the beauty industry and would definitely recommend the schools services.

I don’t know where to start .... this school is so unorganized . I made my first appointment for a tour with karess everything went great ! I completed my fasfa the same day I left the school .... didn’t hear back from anyone for days I called several times and FINALLY I get a call from Dana . I go into the school and girl in the front gives me attitude but ANYWAY I eventually speak with Dana and she just was interested in what other schools I’ve attended ( very judgmental) . Another 4-5 days go by don’t hear from anyone ( class starts in a week) I finally get a call back and It’s just more information they need after I’ve provided more than enough. ON TOP OF THAT they weren’t willing to work with me on the $100 registration fee ( people have bills) ... it was just overall a bad experience and I felt like no one really wanted to help me enroll ! I had to keep calling to get things done . Please take this review into consideration .. I went to another cosmetology school to enroll ( schilling school of Douglas) and everything went GREAT ! I love it

We were interested in the school program and Ty (very pleasant lady) gave us a great insights of the program. Overall the place was nice and the staff was friendly. As for Ty she was simply awesome both as a professional and as a human!
