The girl that did my nails was very rough on them. When 'polishing' the acrylic nails, she dug into my real nail bed, causing half moon divots that are still trying to grow out. I also got a fungus from there and my nails are constantly breaking and won't grow now. (Yes, I picked the fungus up there, as I haven't been anywhere else to get my nails done in over a year and a half!) I wouldn't recommend this place and I won't be back.

Have generally had very nice to really good experiences here. The women who've worked on our (daughter, friends, me) pedicures have been friendly, polite, kind, and most of them smiling. The massage chairs are an important feature to some of us with dicey backs; the ones at Epic are good. I never mind language barrier(s), as anywhere and anytime that they occur people can usually make themselves understood, with smiles and in a fun way, but I don't like having to repeat several times that, NO, I do NOT want any cuticles cut. This is NOT a new concept for pedicures, manicures, and is actually advised. I know most people do things with their smartphones when having a pedicure, but we're old school and bring a book, and the staff respects that -- they're quiet and only speak when necessary. We tend to go at the non-popular hours, so it's peaceful and a pleasant experience. The polish lasts a long time.

I got a gift card to this place as a gift, which is what brought me in. Spa was nice and clean and they were able to take me as a walk-in. I gave only three stars because the gal who did my manicure rushed it really bad, my thumb nails aren't even at all and she skipped half the things you're supposed to do when giving a manicure. I originally wanted to remove my acrylics and she was grilling me with questions on why I would want to do that and why I'd get them in the first place if I wouldn't keep up with it, making me feel really awkward. In addition to the rushed, uneven manicure, the gal who was working on me and the the gal working next to her (she was doing GORGEOUS nail art by the way) did nothing but complain. They complained about how busy they were because the owner is lazy and doesn't want to work or do anything and they're always overbooked. I understand they're busy, but I found it very unprofessional to complain to customers about it and how awful their owner/boss is. I used up the gift card and won't be returning. Hopefully for their sake, they can get more staff.
