A pedicure was my gift to myself and it was long overdue. The attention to my poor feet was gratefully accepted with no shaming. Hot stones and a thorough massage were all part of a wonderful experience. The space was clean, friendly and relaxed on a late Friday afternoon.

Pricing wasn't horrible, but for a first-timer I wasn't impressed. I bled, and left with scratches in my nails, and little shreds of skin sticking up from my fingers when it was done. Not sure what I expected, but it wasn't this...

Made a 12:00 appointment for two people, first person wasn’t seen for 40 minutes (12:40) and the second person was seen 35 minutes later (12:35). Person doing my nails did not talk to me once and kept looking away while doing my nails. Continued to take walk ins telling them 10-15 minutes and each of them waited almost an hour as well. I’ve never given a place a bad review before but there wasn’t even an apology for the long wait.

I really hate to post bad reviews. This place deserves it. I can chalk it up to one thing. Bad training. This is my second try at this place. Worse than my first experience. Not only did the girl feel incredibly uncomfortable and not confident with using cuticle nippers, but they were very dull. She told me, "it's too dry". Of course it is, when you are trying to nip things a third time around, well after the time of soaking, and improper use of cuticle remover. It is not her fault, it is whoever trained her, they trained her improperly. The other women were all over the place. One women got up from her chair halfway through service, because the women servicing her, had went onto two other clients. This was really difficult to be witnessing. Very poor customer service. Meanwhile, the women who was still trying to fix my cuticles broke skin. This is a classic case of "Manicures and Pedicures are not supposed to hurt!" The moment a nail tech draws blood, you should not pay, and you should leave. This can be very dangerous and lead to infection, upon many other nasty things. There were two young girls next to me under the age of ten, so I did not get as upset as I wanted too. I paid the girl, and tipped her, because again, it is not her fault, she was not trained properly. Don't waste your time and money, make the trip into Portland and go to Nine Stones or Anna Phillips.
