I went to Northbend Nails Rainier and had a great experience. A male manicurist, name is Kong did my fill and gel polish. He was very experienced and attentive. Even though he was very meticulous with my hands and nails, it took him less than an hour to complete the service. The fill was $17.00 which seems about average, the salon was clean and quiet. I don't like the ruckus and loudness of salons and this being my first time there, it certainly won't be the last. One con is, parking isn't that great, as I had to park on a steep incline facing Rainier Avenue S. Besides this, I highly recommend this place! I will be back.

Don’t get gel shalac here. She was very nice but cut two of my fingers and I left peeling gel off my cuticles. Not good. Sorry.

I always go to Johny's Nails and was looking for a change. Johny's can be packed at time and the service seems rushed leaving me not completely satisfied with my pedicures. Passed by this place on my way to Johny's and the lady working said it was only $2 more so I was like why not I'll give it a try. The lady working on my feet was very nice, peaceful and clean/sterile = A+++. I was very relaxed as she paid close attention to cutting my cuticles (Johny's always seems to cut atleast one of my toes and their pedicures can sometimes hurt with how they maneuver my feet around while working). She was very gentle almost fell asleep on her. I love how she felt around my feet for what spots might need extra attention and shaped my nails beautifully square. When she ended the pedicure with the warm towels, oil/lotion rub and than brought out the hot stones, I knew this would be the switch. Although, they could have better options on colors (I always go with mermaid theme). My feet still feel amazing and thinking about the experience alone is relaxing. This place is 1 Million times worth the trip.

First the woman hung up on me when she couldn't understand me. I probably shouldn't have called back but I did and proceeded to make an appointment at 10:30am (my fault) the next day and to my surprise I get there 10:30 and the shop was not even open yet. Business hours were clearly stated on the door at TEN AM .. i waited for 10-15 and not even a car came in the driveway. Terrible, will never go back and will never refer anyone here ever.

They do very good work. Their manicures last a long time.
