Hello, I am writing this review because I am so so disappointed after my visit to Pop & Polish Saturday morning. I went in hoping to get two nails filled that I had gotten done at a different nail salon (Image of Green Nails). After discussing this with the man, he suggested I take off the green nails & do a new set. I agreed that that would be much easier & verbally said, "Yes, take them off & do a new set."
So the man takes off my old set, which mind you, I had gotten done October 30th & only TWO had gotten damaged. Then, the man starts cutting my real nails on my right hand as I stare on in confusion & only applies SNS tips to the two nails that were damaged. I then asked about doing a new set which he seemed confused about. I showed him the 3rd picture, which were my desired new set. As you can see, much MUCH longer than the length I ended up with.
Despite this, I hoped that he could replicate the design as he said he could as I continued showing the 3rd image. He then proceeded to do the design, which to my utter disappointment, looked nothing like the design requested. I asked him several times if he could do the design over & more smoothly, with NO adjustment. After I said that the design wasn't looking the way I had imagined, he solely replied that the design is a Freestyle French nail, which again, did not understand.
I left the salon with the nails pictured in the first two images & damaged, bleeding skin from the drill as you can see. It is SUNDAY & one of my nails on my left hands has ALREADY chipped? I paid $80 dollars for this! The attached image of the green nails were done for $49. Utterly, utterly disappointed.

My friend recommended I check this salon out. Rainy (Rainee?) was such a professional. She took the time and care on my cuticles and ensured my gel looked perfect. Salon was clean and online system was efficient. Will definitely return.

Idk what the other poor reviews are about but I’ve been going to Pop and Polish for about 5 years. Communication is key. Obviously if you don’t communicate properly you can’t expect the desire outcome. With that said, Alice is nice with my nails. She does a phenomenal job. Sometimes I do plain and simple and other times I do a design. I don’t need my feet scrubbed since I bath regularly and wash my feet daily. I request that like once a year the extra scrub. I ask questions if I don’t understand or need clarification. I have never had any complaints. Like never. Attached is a photo my current nails. I decided to go bright. The place is clean and they take their time. It’s not rushed because I make an appointment so my time is my time. My advice make an appointment and know before you go. When in doubt ask a question. Thank you Cici & Alice for always making my nails look good. ;)

This isn’t my usual place but I was desperately needing an appointment in Yonkers right after work… took a chance. The SNS is THICK and looks like its floating on top of my nail bed. They were closing so I didn’t want to give them a hard time. I tipped the girl anyway but I will never return back!

Well done . good shape . Overall great service . But. This is sns 40$ And I asked for those two small designs for the fact that I didn’t want to pay a lot . Since I saw that design cost 20$ More ….They are also matte which places charge for when it’s little to less labor then regular shine Polish. I left there paying 75$ and 7 $ Tip like do these look expensive? No. . I can get a full design elsewhere for an appropriate price .
I will only come back to get base 40$. 1 color . But that’s if these nails last the test …
I just hate when places are greedy like this . Makes business actually go down but I guess they don’t see it that way!
