It was my first time in the salon today. The guy that did my nails had a little bit of an attitude and made me uncomfortable. I don’t get my nails done very often so I’m new to acrylic nails vs. dip powder nails so he got sassy when I accidentally picked out a color that was only allowed for dipping powder. There were a couple other things that he said that made me feel like a burden. I was waiting for my friend to be finished up with her nails after mine were done so we could checkout together, which would only take a couple more minutes. He didn’t say anything to me and walked away after he was done with my nails so I thought that would be okay. He walked back up to me and said, “can you pay me now??” with an attitude. I was under the impression that he was fairly new there. I’m sure the other workers there are nice but unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best. He did a great job on my nails but I don’t think I’ll come back in just because there are a lot of other nail salons and I’d rather find one that is more welcoming.

Taking advantage of young kids? My daughter went in to have her acrylic nails removed. She was quoted a price of $12. When she left, they charged her $30. She had to repeat multiple times she just wanted the acrylic removed. She asked for a receipt when paying and they said they could not give her one due to it being close to closing time!? Shady business practices it seems and mediocre quality at best (my daughters cuticle was cut while removing the nails). My 4 daughters and myself get our nails done elsewhere typically and have never been charged more than what we were quoted. We will not go back or recommend top q to anyone.

Katie was my nail tech this afternoon and she did an amazing dip on my hands. Lovely person with an eye for detail & symmetry. So happy with her work and will ask for Katie again when I return.

Yesterday I came and got my nails done. When I left, I had noticed that they were a weird texture... almost as if the polish was separating and left indentations. I called today and asked if that lady was there and if she could fix them. The guy said yes and for me to come in. When I arrived, a lady asked me to come over and show her my nails. She then called someone else over to show her. Then a guy came over and I had to tell him as well. Instead of the lady from yesterday, this guy did my nails. I asked him if he knew why my nails had done that and he replied that he didn't know but he would just fix them all so I would stop complaining (this was all said with a very harsh, agitated tone). I replied that I pay good money for my nails and that i want them to look nice. He replies with a ya ya ya and continued with my nails. I debated if I should get up and leave at that point, but figured I should stay since the fix is free. He kept rudely telling me that I needed to relax my fingers so it is easier for him to paint. I told him I was trying. Multiple times he did have to tell me to relax my fingers but how could I relax with this guy talking so rudely. I even was shaking. Mid way through he starts telling me that painting my nails is like cutting grass. If you're mowing the grass and go in a bunch of different directions, the grass will be cut, it will just look bad. He then tried to tell me that is what happened with my nails. That she painted in different directions and it was just an illusion that it looked bad. I told him no, there were actual bumps and indentations so it wasn't just an illusion. He then tried to tell me that I picked the wrong color because mine had shimmer in it and they have to be painted straight. I decided from that point, I would no longer talk to this guy. At the end, he changed out my warmer for a new one. As he was about to walk away, he let me know that he took time from his lunch break to come fix my nails and they were short 4 people. (Exactly why I called ahead.) Then from across the room he quickly said something and then said I'd be good to go. So I got up to leave and he comes back over raising his voice saying he told me to wait for the light to go off and then I could leave. I apologized that I misunderstood him and sat back down. He then went to the back room. Once the light went off, I got up to put my jacket on, but my nails were still wet. I told a lady and she said that I needed alcohol on them so she yelled back to him to come out (not sure exactly what she said) and he yells "what now?" He comes around the corner, sees me and gives me a big huff (because I am apparently a burden for him not finishing his job) and puts it in my nails. I let him know that he didn't have to worry, I would not be returning. I left in tears. I have never felt so unwelcomed, bullied, and uncomfortable getting my nails done.
