I really love it here. Been going for almost two years now. I was really nervous at first because when I moved here I didn't know who to trust with my hair and my previous salon at the place I lived at before was simply awesome. Anyway, this place is professional and friendly, and I always feel welcome. I've been getting my hair done by the same woman and she is very talented. I am polynesian, with 'island hair' and every time I go in to get my hair done (color, cut, style) my stylist is always professional, knows what I need, and is great to talk to. I also go here to get my pedicure and waxing and they are all very friendly. I'm really not sure what the other reviewers are talking about when they write about the manager. She is very nice, and it's always a pleasure interacting with everyone there.

I had my extensions done for the first time in this Salon after I moved to FL. I have that hairstyle for 20 years now, and pretty much know what to expect. The hair I brought was sort of new to the girl that did it, so she promised not charge me for the time she was figuring it out. She also has another client on the side, and did not finish the job, since she told me she needed my hair to grow, to be able to finish it. I had an agreement for $100 per hour, so what ever was done was supposed to be in the worst case scenario $400. I was charged $650. I paid that amount, and, called today to have the extensions finished. The manger called me back, was rude to the extent to making me sick, Told me they are the best (which is not really true), can charge what ever they want, and will charge more hundreds of dollars if I want to finish the hairdo, that was started 6 weeks ago. Believe me, I had these done in hundreds of places all over US-they are not the best, definitely practicing robbery (not up-selling) and oh my god, that girl can not be a manager anywhere close to human beings. Be careful! So, if You are one of those that are paying $2,000 in this salon, like this manager was bragging, maybe You want to consider someone else, and giving an extra thousand to a charity.
So yes, do not even ever consider going to that salon. It is November now, and I just got a call from the salon to remove my review from Google, or they will send attorneys after me. Let me see what kind of attorney will show up to tell me that there is no freedom of speech in this country, to get a fair warning to other customers to be careful. Repeat, there is no other place with attitude like this anywhere, where the customer gets no respect, and has to be ready to be robbed in any way this salon chooses to do so.

Amy has been doing my nails for over four years at Volpe and she is the best nail tech in the Venice/Sarasota area by far! They also have wonderful hairstylists and very talented massage therapists and estheticians! I would recommend Volpe Salon & Spa to anyone!

Do not go to this salon unless you expect to pay a bunch of money for mediocre work. I got my hair relaxed and was up charged 20 dollars from what I was quoted for a straitening that took 5 minutes without my knowledge that it was extra. When I called to complain they said that they had given me a discount and no where else would have done it better.These people are rude and deceiving.

Great staff, great experience, and great environment! I get my eyebrows and hair done by Jeff and i couldnt be happier!
