Came here for prom hair and makeup. I asked the hairdresser for loose curls that would all fall over one shoulder, pinned there with a pretty clip in the back. I had long bangs that I was growing out at the time, and the lady had no clue what to do with them. She ended up pinning them behind my ear...not curling them with the rest of my hair...which looked horrible. The curls turned out like Shirley Temple curls, tight and short...not what I asked for at all. And my hair had no volume on top! She didn’t tease it or anything. Ended up having to redo it myself at home...stressing over my hair was not how I imagined the night of my senior prom. I hadn’t known at the time what exactly was wrong concerning the lack of volume because I’m not too into hair (which is why I am paying someone to do it for me), but something wasn’t right. But at my next prom, when I went somewhere else for hair (because I sure as heck wasn’t coming back here) the lady used a powder and teasing brush that did the trick to give it more volume. For a place that markets themselves as high end, I wasn’t impressed at all. Makeup was fine...except she didn’t blend it at all with my neck and chest. Even showed her a picture of my dress which was cut low, and it didn’t even occur to her to blend the makeup...? Might help to tell them you’re getting ready for a wedding or something if you’re going for prom so they don’t stick you with someone inexperienced because you’re young and don’t know any better.
