I'm not rating this place with a one-star because there's one guy in there that actually does good work which is all I can say good about this place. However I ended up having to do my nails with one of the older women because the guy was busy. Needless to say she was extremely rude. It's like I couldn't ask for what I wanted without her speaking their foreign language (which she was clearly speaking about me) and being very rude about any requests I made. But hey that's common in nail salons so that really didn't bother me. What really threw me over the edge was when it was time to pay. On the price list it says $18 for a gel refill. I was charged $28. When asked why so much, her response was they charge to cut-down nails and a refill is $20 not $18. Well why does it say $18 on your price list?!?! Which means they charged me $8 to cut down my nails??? Also just like someone said, flies and mosquitos everywhere!! If they would close the front door, that problem could easily be eliminated. I was so upset because the last time I did my nails here, the guy did an amazing job. Smh how people can spoil it for others. If it weren't for his good work, this place would receive a 1-star rating from me and even that would be too generous!

Terrible! I came to this place on Christmas eve as I usually go to Pines mall as you can imagine the chaos at the mall during this time of year. I thought "its a lip waxing how can someone mess this up?". Well, it turns out, I got first degree burns. Before the wax was applied, I warned that I had used acne medication two days prior which my normal aesthetician instructed me to always mentiin this prior to waxing so they can prepare your face properly prior to applying wax. I warned the "aesthetician" of this and she did not have a clue what to do with the information. She asked me if it was okay to CLEAN my face with alcohol, I said sure. She then applied the wax four times and waxed me four times. Per my usual aesthetician the maximum amount of times you should apply wax is two times at the most, otherwise you run the risk of burning the client (I asked after the incident). I didnt expect the wax to be applied the third and fourth time so when I felt her apply the wax the fourth time, I immediately asked her to not put it on again. Once she waxed me for the last time, she then applied rubbing alcohol to the waxed area. I screached out of the surprising burning sensation that I had not anticipated as I had my eyes closed trying to relax. My skin was red and I know that is common after waxing so I didnt think anything of it. The next day I woke up with a swollen face with puss and liquid coming out of the affected area. Mind you this is Christmas day. I did not leave my house for the next five days only to see my dermatologist. Where I had to spend $60 on medication. Not to mention having to wash my face, apply ice and re-apply the medication every two hours during this time. I missed three days of work, lost a lot of sleep and the irritation was unbearable. I am thankful that the damage was not permanent however, I will never step foot in this place again. A $5 wax job turned into a traumatic experience. I understand that we are human and make mistakes sometimes but I think this was just pure negligence which shouldnt be taken lightly. As a business owner, I feel that you need to genuinely care that your product/service does not harm your clients as you would want them to come back. I get the feeling that they dont care enough to make sure to have their employees properly trained and at the least to have the right products and not just whatever is lying around. To top it off, I was noticing as I was getting my nails done (prior to waxing) that all employee licenses were pinned one on top of the other where you cannot see if everyone had their license and if they were even current. The nail service was not that good either. I felt my cuticles being pinch every now and then so I was on edge the whole time. Clearly, I would never recommend a place that doesnt care about the well being of their customers. I give it no stars and would see if spa has insurance. Otherwise, you run the risk of permanent damage where you may not be able to have your pain and suffering compensated at the very least. I hope this helps anyone who is considering visiting this spa.
