This place was so expensive and not that good at all. They are really nice and the girl doing my daughter's nails asked about 45 questiions which I didn't mind but I'd rather have our nails look better than what they did. My nail polish was old and wouldn't dry for hours. It lasted one day same with my daughter's. I came to work and my co-worker was like "I thought you did them yourself". My total was $50 for the two of us and on top of that I gave them a $10 tip! Silly me! I think I just can't be mean but this place was awful. I will never go back.

I have been to a couple places near this area since I've moved from Arizona, where I had an excellent nail tech I always went to. So I was looking for a place about as good if not a little better: the stakes were high, as I'm a bit of a nail snob... After trying a handful of other places, I heard about NY Nails and decided to try it out! This is my favorite place so far!! The one woman, has other techs come in to train, but she is the owner and main person always here. She makes conversation with all her clients, and she speaks above average English, as compared to many nail techs I've encountered who don't even bother speaking English in client's presence. She was nicer to me than I'm used to, and the prices are noticeably more inexpensive! I paid $14 for a pedi, and my overlay/fill was about $13, not including tip. There's a sign on the door now that says pedis are $11, and full sets are $14 I think! Something around there. But, the lady is very nice, she took the time to remember my name, and is very pleasant. She even uses a UV light to dry my nails so that I don't leave looking and acting like Edward Scissorhands! It's the extra little things I admire about this lady. I would just suggest, as with any salon, be careful who you choose to touch your nails. I prefer the owner, but like I said, I'm a nail snob. It's definitely worth a try, and I can only give you my experience, and it's only been with the head lady. (sorry I don't know her name!)
