We rent this apartment for my daughter for college. She just renewed her lease for a second year. Facility is well maintained, has a great tornado shelter and they have a dog park. Centrally locate for easy access throughout the city.

Copper Point has been amazing from day 1 for my family of 5. We love the hardwood flooring in our 3bed, 2 full bathroom apt. It's open concept keeps it modern and still cozy for a family friendly feel. We recently made an at home office in our master bedroom since it's large enough to fit our queen size bed and L - shaped desk with 2 monitors so I can work more from home. The pool is a nice amenity for the little one's so we don't have to go to a crowded public pool. I like that it's attached to the clubhouse to make bathrooms accessible vs trying to walk back to your apt. We have used the shelter several times for inclement weather and in this area that is one of the main reasons we wanted to live here. There's always kids playing at the playground on site and everyone is super friendly. Management does an amazing job keeping things up as well as addressing any concerns that would arise. I do feel out of all the apartments in the area this as well as a few others managed by the same company are the nicer of the options. The security cams around the property are a bonus and are always recording which as a mother with little one's on and off buses I like having. We plan to stay for a long time.

Apartment complex will nickel and dime on every utility that is available. You are responsible for your electric bill, which is understandable. You are also responsible for the water utilities , also understandable but you are also required to pay your own trash and sewage (which I've never had to do at any other complex I've ever lived in). The average trash and sewage bill is around $50 a month. The apartments are nice but are way overpriced for what you get. Upon moving out of the property they held me responsible for $2,120 worth of repairs and maintenance to the unit. These repairs and maintenance were unjustified and not necessary yet I am responsible to pay this bill with them. In my opinion Copper Point Landing takes advantage of their tenants and do not have any concern about the fact that other people in the units are using drugs. Several times I came home at night after working a 12-hour shift to find that my apartment reeked of marijuana smoke do to the tenants that were around me! It was so bad that I had to contact the Joplin Police Department because of the landlord would not do anything about the issue. Do not pay an overrated price because right next door you can get a two bedroom apartment for $450 a month those are brand-new and are just as nice. I was paying $595 a month for a one-bedroom apartment. And in the middle of my lease they raised the rent for one bedrooms to $610 per month. The tenants were only giving a one-week notice to the rental price increase. My suggestion look for somewhere else to live in Joplin Missouri.

I visited Copper Point Landing simply to request a tour and waited over 30 minutes just to speak to the manager. By the time she finally came into the lobby to speak with me, I was on a phone call. When I was finished, I walked to her office to see if I was able to request a tour. She was speaking to one of the maintenance workers and I knocked on the door. She VERY rudely pointed at him and said told me something along the lines of "I'm clearly busy." I was literally shocked by how blatantly disrespectful she acted towards me as well as the fact that she had absolutely no regard for my time. The apartments are not nice enough to suffer through living at a complex with that person running the property. Pretty complex on the outside, but as soon as you make it into the clubhouse and meet the immensely unprofessional property manager, you will wish you utilized your time for literally anything else but visiting Copper Point Landing.

Incredibly friendly management and staff. The movie theater is AWESOME! They also provide computers, a playground, and a cute dog park. Everything is well-maintained and I can always count on the manager, Tess, to be sweet and helpful. She remembers me and takes great care of everyone. The location is great and the modern interior style is beautiful.
