I guess it depends on which nail technician you get to do the work. I'm a guy and this is the place I had gone to for my first pedicure,ever. The first few times I went I was pretty happy my feet felt and looked good. But my last visit which was about a year ago I got a pretty s***** job done. She was fast and ineffective in in about 5 or 6 days it look like I had even had the pedicure. She didn't take off any of the rough skin of my feet not even get a foot rub. The nails were trimmed but left long. I wish I remember what her name was but if I go in again and see her I will not let her work on me. The other four gals prior to this one we're pretty good and one in particular she might have been the manager or the lead manicurist, she did the best job.

This is by far the WORST set of nails I have ever had and by far the worst nail salon I've ever been to, along with the worst experience of my life. I work in customer service and you should always make sure your customer is happy, smiling, and socialized with, not once was I felt welcome and not once did she genuinely speak to me like I mattered I wasn't even told her name!!! I showed her a photo of what I wanted my nails to look like and to be completely honest they were not that difficult, I was actually able to explain to her HOW to do them which she did not listen to me about, instead she proceeded to not speak to me and do it her own way which looked nothing like I wanted!!! So after screwing them up to start I asked and again showed her how to fix it and then AGAIN SCREWED THEM UP!!!!! I was finally so fed up I just sat there and waited for her to say something which was only to go wash your hands, I then return while she is picking up my purse and cell phone to pass my off to another employee to finish my gel!!!! First of all I don't know you and you haven't tried to be friendly with me one bit and secondly you have no right to touch my personal property when I don't even know your name!!! RUDE!!! So the second lady starts to do my gel coat as she laughing and completely turned away from me talking to coworkers and completely screws up the gel by not covering the whole nails!! Seriously.... It's just like a top coat it's hard to screw up heck I could have done a better job. If it weren't for the fact that I have ill family in the hospital and my stress is already through the roof I would have demanded a complete new set or I would not pay cause they 100% did not deserve or earned my money and if it wasn't such a miserable experience I'd go back and make them fix it!!!!! But I would rather go to any where else but here, I am now going to go to a different to have them fix because I can not walk around with these nails their horrible, trashy, and messy! I hate this place and will never return no matter what and I hope others will hear my warning.

I have tried a lot of nail shops from Escondido to Encinitas and none measure up to Color Nails in Carlsbad. Kim Lan has been doing my nails for over 2 years. What sold me on this place was that the instruments are in a pouch of their own and opened in front of you. Not like other shops that would brush them with soap allowing room for bacteria to live on the instruments. I absolutely love this nail shop. Ask for Kim Lan or Amy!😊

I have been going to Color Nails for 2 years now. LOVE this place. Professional, personal and always great service. Polish and gel seems to last me 3 to 4 weeks. I've been to other shops and find the polish comes off my pedicure in less than a week. I'm sold!

More like a spa experience than I've ever had! Cozy, relaxing...perfect service! See Amanda, you'll be glad you did!..highly recommend
