I have been going to Kim for many years. She is both professional and friendly. She does a wonderful job when I get a pedicure. I leave feeling relaxed and my no chip French pedicure is perfect! The spa is clean and I feel the services are priced fairly, including waxing services.

At first, I was happy it was close to closing time we starting to walk in and realized it. We turned to leave and they called us back in. I thought, that’s nice. We just wanted a pedicure. They sat us down, place looks clean. They asked what level of pedi we wanted, but they didn’t give us any menus. We said which ever comes with paraffin wax. While the wax was cooling they said they would rub some lotion on our hands, ok cool, whatever. Then the nail tech said she needed to cut my nails, that I had just cut to the length I like that day, but she was quickly cutting them for me. Then she decided to do my cuticles. I said I just wanted a pedi, no mani.
They didn’t have the color I picked, I picked a second color, she brought a color she thought was close enough and started painting. It was orange, but I picked pink. It wasn’t the worst color in the world so I was like yeah that’s fine. She asked if I wanted a flower on my toe. I said no thanks no one will see my toes anyway. After painting my nails she said she was going to do a flower, I said no. She did it anyway. Then she added glitter which made a not great flower worse. We checked out and she charged me $129 (w/tip) for a pedicure. They charged my friend $97 (she got away without a flower 😂). This place took advantage of me being nice. I paid double what I expected. The way she ignored me multiple times was annoying. I felt like a hostage. I won’t be going back.

Absolute scam. They add services on throughout your time there and do not ask or inform you of additional fees. I went in for a basic no chip manicure at $35 and they kept haggling me to add services on. I said no several times and she still went on to do an addition service without me knowing. Due to saying no and not agreeing to it, I was completely unaware that the additional service of hand lotion was $15 more- I assumed it was included since I didn’t agree to any additional services. Many other salons include this service so how would I know- they also do not post pricing anywhere. I was then told my eye brows needed to be waxed- they didn’t and she was trying to force me into a design on my nails. Based on other reviews I read after my experience, this seems to be a common occurrence for them. Overall, it’s not about the money, it’s more about what they are trying to do to people and the dishonesty. It was a terrible experience being haggled since the moment you walk in and then being scammed at the register. Just bad business all around.

I have been going to Kim for my pink and white nails for over 10 years. I have never been disappointed. She does an amazing job!! I would definitely recommend her services. She takes her time and makes sure that I am satisfied every visit!!!❤️

I have been going to kim for about 5 years. Can’t imagine going anywhere else. I’ve tried all the nail salons in Schererville, Merrillville & crown point & they didn’t care how they do your nails. Polish would always chip, cuticles looked bad, and poor shaping. So maybe pure nail is a little pricier. I don’t care because the quality I get is well worth it. I go every 3 weeks and that’s only because my nails have grown out. The polish is still PERFECT!! I would have to go every week & a half at those other cheaper salons. Unfortunately we are now living in a society that no one cares how they do their jobs. How many times have you picked up carry out food & it wasn’t even edible?? Probably almost every time. I’m just happy to know I will get the same great quality every time I see kim.
