I’ve been to so many different nail salons all over Chicago, and had by far the worst experience at this one. First, I walk in and am not even greeted - just stared at. I had to explain that I had an appointment, to which the lady pointed at one of the “tables” (not sure of the proper word?) to sit down at, never spoke a word to me but okay no big deal.
Shortly after, the nail tech comes out and tells me to go pick a color (which I was expecting to do before I sat down, but apparently they do things differently). I come back with my polish color, and tell him how I’m wanting acrylics, but that I usually get them longer than the average person and asked if it’ll cost extra - I was told no.
Fast forward into the actual acrylic process - he’s filing/drilling(?) my nails, goes over my actual skin with the drill causing me to bleed, then gets upset and blames my skin for being so sensitive. I mean.. you just drilled over it with a fast moving tool, but yeah my apologies, totally my skin’s fault.
After that, he’s applying the nail tips and comments on how my fingers are “weird looking” - like, excuse me? At this point, if I didn’t already have some of the tips glued to my nails, I would’ve gotten up and left.
Almost done, but not just yet. Once he was done with my nails, he told me to put my hands under the dryer and he’ll be back in a few minutes to check them. Well 10 minutes later, and he never came back. I only received weird looks from the ladies working there.
Now to finish off that lovely experience - when I went to pay, they charged me an extra $15 for getting longer length acrylics despite him specifically telling me it wouldn’t cost extra. An extra bonus to all of this was that the acrylics lasted about a week before completely falling off. 0/10 - find a different, competent and friendly nail salon in the city; it won’t be too hard.

Wonderful salon! So clean and beautiful! Sweet family run owners. None of that “talk behind your back” stuff so prevalent at other salons.
Open Sundays! Nice selection of colors, and operators take their time with each client. And did I mention they are open Sundays? (;

Wonderful place for a great mani/pedi. Very clean and everyone is quite friendly! This is a regular stop in my schedule.

Best place to get your nails done. They are friendly and EXTREMELY meticulous.
